Functional & Rehabilitative Medicine

EMSculpt Neo

Non-invasive muscle building & fat elimination — backed by science.

The first and only non-invasive technology to simultaneously deliver Radiofrequency (RF) and High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM+) energy in a single 30-minute session — producing measurable changes in muscle and fat without surgery, needles, or downtime.

How It Works

Two energies. One applicator. Synergistic results.

EMSculpt Neo combines RF heating and HIFEM-induced supramaximal muscle contractions delivered simultaneously. The synergy between these two mechanisms is what sets it apart — clinical studies show the combined approach outperforms either technology used in isolation or consecutively.

At The G.O.A.T., this technology is applied within a sport medicine and functional rehabilitation framework — addressing not just appearance, but movement, strength, recovery, and quality of life.

RF

Thermal energy · Fat & tissue

Heats subcutaneous adipose tissue to 43–45°C and warms muscle to 40–41°C — driving fat apoptosis and amplifying muscle response.

HIFEM+

Electromagnetic · Neuromuscular

Forces supramaximal muscle contractions that are impossible to achieve voluntarily — pushing muscle far beyond what any workout can produce.

The Science

The Effect on Muscle

HIFEM energy forces muscle contractions of supraphysiological intensity. Muscle fibers are rapidly stretched and contracted at high frequency, creating micro-ruptures within the tissue. This triggers a cascade of physiological responses:

Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs)

Released during contraction, activating regenerative and hypertrophic signalling within the muscle.

Satellite Cells

The muscle-derived stem cells responsible for myofiber development and renewal are recruited and activated, supporting existing fibers and generating new ones.

RF Heating

Warms the muscle to approximately 40–41°C, significantly increasing blood flow and elevating oxygen and nutrient delivery — mimicking and amplifying the warm-up effect of intense exercise.

Both HSPs and satellite cells can be activated by mechanical stress alone, but research shows that the simultaneous application of heat and mechanical stress produces significantly higher expression levels than either stimulus independently. This is the core of EMSculpt Neo's superiority.

Clinical IRB studies report an average muscle thickness increase of 24–26% with the combined RF + HIFEM protocol, compared to 16% with HIFEM alone — a clear demonstration that the heat is not incidental. It is essential.

The Effect on Fat

RF energy heats subcutaneous adipose tissue uniformly to 43–45°C. At this temperature range, adipocytes begin to lose cellular viability and enter apoptosis — a natural, permanent process of cell death. The body's immune system then clears the degraded cell debris, permanently reducing the number of fat cells in the treated area.

Beyond direct cell destruction, the elevated temperature accelerates metabolic activity and increases local blood flow. Lipids stored within fat cells are broken down into free fatty acids and glycerol, released into the bloodstream, and metabolized — causing the remaining fat cells to shrink as they lose a significant portion of their contents.

The simultaneous HIFEM contractions also serve a functional purpose here: acting as a natural massager, distributing heat evenly across the treatment area and eliminating the localized “hot spots” that can occur with RF-only thermal treatments.

Clinical studies using MRI and ultrasound evaluation document an average subcutaneous fat reduction of 28.3–30.8% across the treated area.

Clinical & Functional Applications

What It Can Treat

Musculoskeletal & Rehab

  • Post-Surgical Muscle Atrophy

Prevents and reverses deconditioning following orthopedic surgery when active exercise is restricted.

  • Sarcopenia

Clinically effective protocol for age-related muscle loss — particularly in patients unable to tolerate high-load exercise.

  • Muscle Imbalance

Targeted reactivation of inhibited or underdeveloped muscle groups — correcting imbalance without joint stress or compensatory loading.

  • Diastasis Recti

Deep core recruitment and linea alba tension restoration in post-partum and post-surgical patients.

  • Tendon & Ligament Health

Supramaximal contractions stimulate tendon remodelling and improve load-transfer capacity at the musculotendinous junction.

Metabolic & Systemic

  • Visceral Fat Reduction

RF energy targets both subcutaneous and — in emerging evidence — metabolically active visceral fat deposits, supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health.

  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

HIFEM+ stimulation addresses stress urinary incontinence, urgency incontinence, and general pelvic floor weakness — including post-partum and post-surgical presentations.

  • Bone Density Support

Repeated muscular loading via HIFEM+ applies mechanical stimulation to adjacent bone, promoting osteogenic activity — relevant in osteopenia and early osteoporosis management.

  • Chronic Low Back Pain

Strengthening of lumbar paraspinals and deep core stabilizers reduces mechanical load on the spine and supports pain reduction in non-specific chronic LBP.

  • Athletic Reconditioning

Accelerates return-to-sport timelines by maintaining or rebuilding neuromuscular recruitment patterns during recovery periods.

Body Composition & Aesthetics

Secondary to functional goals — but notable:

Up to 25% reduction in subcutaneous fat in treated areas (abdomen, flanks, arms, thighs, calves) and up to 30% increase in muscle volume — visible toning as a by-product of functional rehabilitation.

What to Expect

Your Treatment Journey

1

Clinical Assessment

Full functional assessment, medical history review, and goal-setting with our sport medicine team. Candidacy confirmed before any treatment.

2

Treatment Protocol

Typically four 30-minute sessions over 2–3 weeks. No anaesthesia, no needles, no preparation required.

3

During Treatment

Intense but tolerable muscle contractions with a warming sensation. No recovery time — patients resume normal activity immediately.

4

Results Timeline

Functional improvements often felt within weeks. Optimal outcomes at approximately 3 months. Maintenance sessions recommended for long-term benefit.
