Information about packages & the room:

Packages cannot be purchased online. Please email, call or send us a direct message on social media if you are interested in purchasing a package. Please note, email is our preferred contact method as we have limited reception hours. Alternatively, you can book your services with our online booking link, then purchase a package in person when you come to the clinic for your appointment.

The commercial cold plunge tub and infrared sauna are in the same room, so you can do both within the same session, or opt for one or the other. There can be two people in the room at once, but you will need to contact us to book the second person in, and you will both be charged the same amount as a standard session.

If you are wanting to book the cold plunge/sauna back to back with another service, please book the cold plunge/sauna BEFORE your other treatment.

What is cold water immersion & what are the health benefits?

Otherwise known as ice-baths, or cold water immersion, cold plunge therapy is a recovery process involving the submersion of the body into cold water (4-10 degrees Celsius).

Cold plunge therapy:

  •  promotes peripheral vasoconstriction sending blood to the core  &  brain

  • reduces inflammation & muscle soreness

  • promotes weight loss & increases metabolism

  • boosts immune system

  • activates cold shock proteins which enhances protein synthesis

  • reduces free radicals

  •

stimulates key neurotransmitters linked to mood and alertness for 2-6 hours post-immersion

What is infrared sauna & what are the health benefits?

  • Infrared saunas emit infrared light experienced as radiant heat which is absorbed directly by the surface of the skin. Traditional saunas differ in that they heat the body by conduction & convection through heating the air within the sauna.

  • Infrared sauna:

  • normalizes blood pressure

  • reduces chronic pain  & inflammation

  • reduces cholesterol levels

  • detoxifies the body

  • promotes weight loss & increases metabolism

  • promotes circulation

  • improves sleep

  • boosts the immune system

How does one typically spend their time in the room?

A well known neuroscientist Andrew Huberman, recommends contrast therapy as a powerful tool for enhancing overall health and well-being. He suggests alternating between cold exposure for about 3-5 minutes and heat exposure for 15-20 minutes for several rounds to stimulate various physiological responses in the body, leading to a range of benefits.  Other people will opt to stay in the cold plunge for up to 10 minutes then finish in the sauna. Feel free to spend your time in the room as you wish!
