Sarah studied massage therapy and acupuncture at MacEwan University, and completed NAIT's personal training program prior to this. During her time at NAIT, Sarah played for the Ooks volleyball team. In 2014, Sarah suffered from compartment syndrome in her right leg, underwent ten surgeries and as a result has 30% muscle deficiency in her calve. This injury made her eligible to play on Canada's women's sitting volleyball team. She has attended the 2019 Parapan Am Games in Lima, the 2022 World Championships in Bosnia, the 2023 World Cup in Egypt, and the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Her journey with compartment syndrome and her subsequent experiences with alternative health practitioners lead her to pursuing a career in complementary health.

Sarah has a keen interest in treating athletes, musculoskeletal and orthopedic complaints due to her personal experiences with pain and history with competitive sports. She has been trained in orthopedic evaluative testing, manual muscle testing, postural assessment, and advanced needling techniques.

Holding a hybrid approach to her practice, Sarah integrates Eastern and Western Medicine during each session, as she keeps her roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has a passion for treating holistically. Because of this, Sarah is well versed in treating internal disharmonies such as digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, genitourinary, endocrine, psychological and spiritual complaints.
